SMALL GROUP TOUR · 10 HOURS
(Official guide and 9-seat vehicle)
This small-group excursion lasts approximately 10 hours, offering a perfect balance of landscapes and local life, where scenery and people go hand in hand.
Departures are available from your accommodation in Gijón or Oviedo, with a service that includes guided visits and transport in a comfortable 9-seat Mercedes Vito van.
The price is €70 per person, VAT included. The tour is guaranteed with a minimum of 2 participants, so you won’t need to worry about cancellations.
If you prefer a private tour, adapted to your interests or needs, just get in touch and I’ll be happy to prepare a personalised proposal.
As Asturias is known for its changeable weather, I recommend bringing both a light rain jacket or umbrella and sun protection.
Throughout the journey, stories, anecdotes and local history will make the drive enjoyable and enriching.
CABO BUSTO LIGHTHOUSE
Departure is at 8:00 am from Gijón and 8:30 am from Oviedo. After roughly one hour on the road, we reach our first stop: Cabo Busto Lighthouse.
This natural area, part of the Cabo Busto–Luanco Special Protection Area for Birds, offers stunning views over the Asturian cliffs and the Cantabrian Sea.
PUERTO DE VEGA
Next, we head to Puerto de Vega, a lively fishing village and filming location for the Netflix series The Last Night at Tremor.
Here, we’ll soak up its maritime atmosphere while wandering from the harbour to the fish market, getting a real feel for daily life by the sea.
LUARCA / LLUARCA
As lunchtime approaches, Luarca is the perfect place to enjoy Asturian cuisine.
We begin with a visit to its spectacular clifftop cemetery, where Nobel Prize winner Severo Ochoa rests alongside his wife, Carmen, next to the chapel of Nuestra Señora la Blanca, also known as La Atalaya.
From there, we walk down to the historic “Mesa de los Mareantes” (the fishermen’s meeting place, where local sailors once gathered to plan the fishing seasons), and gradually descend towards the harbour, discovering the village along the way.
LA REGALINA SHRINE
After lunch, we continue to the final stop of the tour: La Regalina Shrine, in Cadavedo.
In August, during its traditional festival linked to Father Galo, the area fills with colour, music and local customs. The rest of the year, it becomes a peaceful retreat, ideal for enjoying panoramic views of the Cantabrian Sea and admiring the small white-and-blue chapel beside its traditional “hórreo”.
If you’d like to book a date or have any questions, feel free to contact Vente a “Caleyar” directly.
I’ll be happy to help you plan your day on the Asturian coast.
